Know about the types of amino acids
Amino acids are organic compounds which will combine to form proteins in your body and so these acids are simply called building blocks of the body. When no more protein left in your body, these amino acids will make proteins to human body and make a few functions in it.
Some of the functions of amino acids in the body include: it will help to break down the food, assist in growing as well as repairing body tissue and to perform several other tasks in the body. Thus, we can say that amino acids are a source of energy in human body and these acids can be classified into three groups.
- Essential amino acids – These acids cannot be produced by the body and so they must be acquired from the food. There are 9 essential amino acids and they are histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine.
- Nonessential amino acids – These acids can be produced by your body itself and there is no need for you to consume some food items to produce them. Some of these types of amino acids include: arginine, asparagine, aspartic acid, cysteine, glutamic acid, glutamine, glycine, proline, serine, and tyrosine.
- Conditional amino acids – This type of amino acids are not essential for your body, unless you are stress or suffering from any type of illness. These conditional amino acids are arginine, cysteine, glutamine, tyrosine, glycine, ornithine, proline, and serine.
It is not essential for you to eat essential and nonessential amino acids at every meal, whereas, it is important to balance them throughout the day. A diet that is dependent on a single plant may not be enough, but we no longer care about incorporating proteins into a diet. Rather than that, you have to concentrate on your diet and make sure that it contains all the energy that you need the whole day.
